Chlorine Dioxide has only been used commercially throughout the world for around 70 years.
It has been used during this time to destroy pathogens in municipal water supplies, aircraft water tanks, to bleach paper and flour, to treat seafood, mushrooms, farm eggs, poultry sheds, and processing plants, red meat processors, fruit and vegetables, to destroy mould in contaminated homes and buildings, to treat air conditioning cooling towers, hospital clean rooms and dental surgeries and to destroy Cryptosporidium and Giardia in public swimming pools.
It was even used to neutralise the terrorist Anthrax attack on the American Postal System and Senate, as well as decontaminating a 12 storey hospital complex in New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina.
